I had the opportunity of meeting you and your wife at the Wildflower Center in Austin and purchased the CD that you and Willie Nelson had made especially for the Center. I mentioned that I had a son on a carrier in the Persian Gulf who would appreciate the songs and bring him closer to home. And we spoke of your son with tears in our eyes. I have thought of you so often. I have also sent CDs to several other homesick Texans. What great songs!
I have written some lyrics for a song about love, Texas, and wildflowers and wonder if either you or Willie have an address where I could send them? Here I live in the center of the music world in Texas and I don't know who to see!

Happy 50th Anniversary for “Band of Gold” and for 50 plus years of music. (Although I’ve only been listening for the past 12 years.) Hey, I’m young.
I enjoyed your site many, many times. I discover something new every time I look at it. Just like your DVD. No matter how many times you view it, you find something you missed in an earlier viewing.
Your tribute to Perry Como, in my opinion, one of the best CD’s to ever be released.

I’ll catch up with you one of these days on tour, (if you ever make it to Florida) or the golf course.

We had the privilege of meeting Don many years ago at the Copa in OKC. Have always thought he is a wonderful person with the world's most beautiful voice. Wish you would sing closer to OKC. Glad to know that things are well. We were so sad to know that your son, Steven was at the World Trade Center. We lost my step son at 15 so have an idea of the pain. God bless you.
